About Andrea

Andrea Baxter has had a passion for horses since she could talk and has been riding since she could walk. Andrea started her formal learning in the United States Pony Club program, where she graduated as a highly coveted “A” rated member of the Black Oaks PC.
As a young rider, she spent most of her time working for Brian and Lisa Sabo as a working student and assistant. Andrea rode and trained all of her own horses that she and mom, Connie either bred or bought off the track.

She started competing at the preliminary level early in the calendar year of her 14th birthday and quickly was named to represent Area VI at the North American Young Riders Championships in 98’, 99’, and 01’ on her horses Tytan, Mir, and Say Grace respectively. After her YR years, Andrea was named to the USEF developing rider list, a proven training ground for the world’s top equestrians in 06’, 07’,and 08’ with Estrella and Skywalker IV.

In 2008 Andrea moved to the East Coast to compete and train. During that time, she gained valuable knowledge working for and with Buck Davidson and Leslie Law. That same year, she finished 2nd in the CCI4* at Bromont in Quebec, Canada and qualified for the 2008 Beijing Olympics with Estrella. She went on to compete Estrella at multiple 4* events around the country and eventually made her CCI5* debut at Rolex Kentucky!

Andrea’s next big horse, Indy 500 is a mare that she started as a baby and competed to the highest level in eventing. Indy and Andrea traveled around the USA and Britain to conquer all of the biggest events such as: Rolex Kentucky 5* (3 x in top 20), Land Rover Burghley 5*(3x, 2019- highest placed American, 12th), Blenheim 4* (25th/120), Maryland 5* (top 20), Tryon 4* National Championships (12th). Together they successfully completed 50 FEI events in Indy’s 16 year career. Andrea learned valuable knowledge of how to produce, maintain, care for, and prepare a 5* horse for so many years.

Indy 500 had a son that Andrea bred in 2010. Andrea brought him (Laguna Seca) along to the 4* level, winning a 4*S and finishing 6th at the 4*L at Rebecca before being sold to a very lucky young girl to continue her riding education.

Andrea now has a number of young horses she has bought locally and abroad and is currently working her magic to produce more 4* and 5* horses!

On the side, Andrea has made a name for herself as a successful breeder of event horses. Say Grace was the mother of her famed mare, Estrella who has now gone on to be the mother of 3 very talented young stock. Estrella’s oldest, Carrera, is now the mother of the 4th generation of babies from the original line. Estrella’s only boy, Coronado is by the world champion, Chilli Morning and he is proudly awaiting the success of his first crops offspring.
